August 2022

There is a mix of the expected and the unexpected this month and in the process, this creates what is expected to be an exciting month. The expected is that the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of August in your friendship sector with Mercury, the planet of communication here until 4th August to ensure the communication lines are open. Also expected though a little later than is usual, is Venus’ return on 12th August. It is Venus’ return that will bring the laws of attraction and synchronicity into play, making it easier to find yourself in the right place at the right time. What is not expected is that for the first time in 12 years you have Jupiter in your relationship sector, with his alignment with the Sun on 1st August getting the month off to a good start when it comes to personal and professional networking, friendship and relationship building. Also expected is the Sun’s return to a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart on 23rd August to begin the month long wind down of your old solar year. What is not expected is that just three days later Mercury will leave, becoming the first planet to return to Libra for the year on 26th August. However, the biggest surprise this month is coming from Mars and it is a gift that is set to keep on giving for the rest of the year and into the early months of 2023. Until leaving your financial sector on 20th August Mars will continue to fuel your financial passions and fighting spirit as he urges you to fight to take your financial power back. However, it is what comes next that is exciting, with the planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos not only returning to an adventurous part of your chart on 20th August but to begin his longest visit in eight decades. Normally here for just six weeks, Mars will fuel a passion for adventure and a hunger for life’s richer experiences for the next seven months.

August 2022

While Saturn turned retrograde in your romantic sector in June, it was only towards the end of last month that all three planets in your relationship sector turned retrograde. The last was Jupiter, who only turned retrograde on 29th July, something that you are still adjusting to as you move into the new month. However, this means that as you move into August every planet on the romantic and relationship fronts is in retrograde motion and the focus is on the past. This also means the planets are not only in no hurry but are here for the long term, taking away any urgency. This also makes the Moon’s monthly visits to both your romantic and relationship sectors a lot more important, with a chance to check in. The Moon will return to your romantic sector from 11th August but while these romantically charged lunar vibes come around every four weeks, this time will be different. With the Sun now on the other side of the sky, this will create a Full Moon on 12th August, the most romantically charged of the year. Matters of the heart will get another boost when Mars returns to an adventurous part of your chart on 20th August, where he will stay for the rest of the year. A retrograde turn later in the year will keep Mars here until March 2023 and in that time he will move into a friendly aspect to Saturn in your romantic sector three times. While Mars is more passionate and Saturn more stoic, they will balance each other out while bringing the spirit of romance and adventure together. Meanwhile, the Moon will make its first visit to your relationship sector since all three planets here turned retrograde from 15th August to 17th August. As well as a chance to become more emotionally engaged, a friendly aspect to the Sun and Venus, the planet of love in your friendship sector will make this an empowering time.

August 2022

Mars’ return to your financial sector early last month has given this financial year its second wind, with the warrior planet of the cosmos on a mission to fuel your financial passions and fighting spirit in order to take your financial power back. Mars is a planet that needs something to fight for and knowing that once he leaves on 20th August it will be another two years before he returns, he will be using anything as motivation. The biggest problem that Mars faces is that there are few physical challenges, with financial tension often a good motivator to come out fighting. While you don’t want to create challenges where there are none and life itself will keep you on your toes, it is about finding something that you can channel Mars’ warrior and competitive spirit into. Mars has a lot of support, both from Pluto in your home and family sector and from Mercury, when he returns to an intuitive and imaginative part of your chart on 4th August. It is Mercury’s mix of intuition and logic, imagination and intelligence that will allow you to think on your feet, giving you better control over Mars’ impulsive tendencies. The Moon’s return to your financial sector from 17th August to 20th August will ensure your financial instincts are sharp and you are emotionally and intuitively engaged during Mars’ final days here. However, it is after Mars leaves that things will pull right back, with Uranus’ retrograde turn here on 25th August taking money matters into review mode. This will be a chance to capture Mars’ influence but in a long term way. Meanwhile, while there is no planetary activity in your income sector, the South Node is helping to maintain a balance between money coming in and money going out. This will get a boost from Venus, with the planet of money working to steer this professional year in a lucrative direction until leaving your career sector on 12th August.
