YEAR 2021

This is a year of contrasts and that means lots of variety and also some surprises. It was in the closing weeks of 2020 that Jupiter and Saturn, the two most powerful and therefore defining planets in the solar system left your friendship sector and returned to a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart. This is always a contrast and shifts a lot of your focus inwards, as you began the three year wind down of your current Saturn cycle and what should be the 12 month wind down of your current Jupiter cycle. This would suggest that 2021 is a quiet year, full of time to reflect, looking back and finding the space and solitude to hear yourself think. While that will be required there is no way that life is going to let you retreat too far into yourself. Saturn won’t return to Pisces until 2023 so the wind down of your current Saturn cycle, which began in 1994, is a long game and something that will happen in the background. Jupiter on the other hand, who usually has 12 months to wind down a 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion will want a deeper dive but even he won’t put a quiet spell over the whole year. That is because Jupiter will only stay here for five months and instead of returning to Pisces to begin a new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion in December, will return on 14th May. This is more a sneak peek, because Jupiter will retrograde back out again on 29th July but will then return again on 29th December. It is when Jupiter returns to Pisces in May that he will find Neptune, your ruling planet here, with the planets of luck and dreams coming together for the first time in your sign in our lifetime. This is not just a chance to get a sneak peek of the future from 14th May to 29th July but a sense of how exciting that future could be. Another factor that will stop life stagnating this year is the fact that Venus and Mars, who both spent months in retrograde motion last year are racing through the heavens this year. Mars, who spent the second half of last year going backwards and forwards over the same ground will spend time in nine areas of your chart this year. The only areas he won’t visit are your friendship sector, a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart and Pisces, the areas that Jupiter and Saturn have either just been or will focus on this year, with Venus taking care of the rest. This makes this a busy and vibrant year, which nicely balances the time to hear yourself think that the wind down of a Saturn and Jupiter cycle requires.

YEAR 2021

2021 is not a major year for romantic and relationship matters, in that there isn’t continuous planetary activity on either front all year but each gets what it needs, when it needs it. In particular, Mars will visit both your romantic and relationship sectors for the first time since 2019 and unlike 2020, when she was held back by a retrograde phase, Venus won’t make you wait as long as she did last year. The first sign of Venus’ influence will be when the planet of love moves through Pisces from 26th February to 22nd March. Venus will return during your birthday month and this is when you will have a chance to set your romantic and relationship desires and expectations for the coming year, with your heart telling you to raise the bar high. While the Sun doesn’t return to your romantic sector until the June solstice each year, things begin three months earlier this year while not ending any sooner. This is thanks to Mars’ return to your romantic sector on 24th April, with his first visit since 2019 a chance to make up for lost time after spending the second half of 2020 held back. As the planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos, Mars will spend from 24th April to 12th June fuelling your romantic passions and fighting spirit. It is while Mars is here that Mercury will return on 4th May for what should be a 14 to 15 day visit aimed at giving your heart a voice and putting heart and mind on the same page. Instead, a retrograde turn will keep the planet of communication here until 12th July. Venus, the planet of love will move through your romantic sector from 3rd June to 27th June, in time to catch the tail end of Mars’ visit while still being here when the Sun returns on 21st June. Together the planets moving through your romantic sector this year will see a romantic chapter that in some years is over within five weeks, begin on 24th April but not end until the Sun leaves on 22nd July. This is the same day that Venus returns to your relationship sector, with her return on 22nd July letting the planet of love to take the reins just days before Mars returns on 30th July, again for the first time since 2019. What the planets did on the romantic front they will immediately begin on the relationship front, running through to the Sun’s departure on 23rd September.

YEAR 2021

Starting the year with Mars in your income sector will always be an advantage, even though he will leave on 7th January and will spend just the early days of the year here. Starting the year with the warrior planet of the cosmos firing up your passions, drive, warrior and competitive spirit as he urges you to fight for what you deserve is going to get things off on the right foot. However, chances are you are feeling a little battle weary, starting the year with both the scars and the spoils of what has been a long, hard battle. Mars returned to your income sector in June 2020 for what should have been a six week visit but instead, a retrograde turn kept him here for the rest of the year. A retrograde phase didn't just hold Mars back but saw him spend much of 2020 crossing backward and forward over the same ground. This may have created a sense that you were taking one step forward and two steps back but in the process, you were going over things in a way that is now baked in. Whether you have seen the money yet or have accessed the untapped income potential this has created, by the time Mars leaves on 7th January it has been banked. Because the dwarf planet Eris, the warrior princess of the cosmos is staying on this will ensure you retain your warrior spirit but without Mars’ urgency or impatience while keeping the wheels turning until the faster planets return. This is when the full extent of Mars’ untapped income potential and the spoils of war are likely to materialise. That period runs from the Sun’s return to your income sector on 20th March to his departure on 20th April. During that month Venus, the planet of money will move through from 22nd March to 15th April and Mercury from 14th April to 19th April. This is a short, concentrated burst of planetary activity that just over two months after Mars left will be enough to act as a catalyst. These could be the most lucrative weeks of 2021. Meanwhile, while there is continuous planetary activity on the income front all year and a lot of untapped income potential and momentum, there is just one period of the year when your financial sector will be active. Here the focus is on what you do with and how you manage the money you have and it runs from Venus’ return to your financial sector on 16th August to Mars’ departure on 31st October.
