We are all being impacted by the fact that once again Jupiter and Saturn, the two most powerful planets in the solar system are a package deal, though in a different way to 2020. However, while for many this is being directed into a fairly narrow aspect of their life, you are the one that will get the most overall benefit from this. Jupiter and Saturn returned to your communication sector in the closing weeks of 2020, the area that can be seen as the ‘Swiss army knife’ of the solar system, with a tool for every situation. Your communication sector is not just about communication but is a smart, intellectually savvy and articulate part of your chart. You now have Saturn here until 2023 and this is giving you mental stamina and discipline as well as power over your words and your thoughts. There isn’t an aspect of your life that won’t benefit from this. Jupiter will spend less time here, rushing through in just five months instead of the 12 months he will normally spend here. However, while he is here Jupiter will expand your mind, your ability to think big and will also make this a lucky time of the year for all aspects of communication. This is especially good if writing or speaking is part of your job and for both your personal and professional relationships. Jupiter is only here until 14th May but will retrograde back in for a second time from 29th July to 29th December, with a chance in his early months to spend time back at the drawing board and even to give the past and unsaid words a voice. It is during Jupiter’s absence from your communication sector that he will join up with Neptune in your home and family sector, bringing the planets of luck and dreams together here for the first time in our lifetime. However, it won’t be for the last time, with Jupiter returning to focus on home, family and/or property matters three times over the course of 2021 and 2022. Meanwhile, what you will also appreciate is that this is likely to be a fast paced year, with none of the stuck or stalled quality that 2020 had to it. This is not just because Jupiter will change things up throughout the year but Mars, who spent the whole second half of 2020 going backwards and forwards over the same ground, is on the move again. The only areas of your chart that Mars won’t visit this year is your home, income and communication sectors, areas that Saturn and/or Jupiter are covering this year or covered last year.
Starting the year with Mars, the planet of passion and the warrior planet of the cosmos still in your romantic sector is giving matters of the heart a running start and as he has been here since June 2020, a huge amount of momentum. This is the tail end of Mars’ longest visit in 32 years, thanks to a retrograde turn that kept him in your romantic sector for the whole second half of 2020. Whatever opportunities, challenges, trials or breakthroughs you have experienced to this point, Mars leaves it all on the floor. This allows you to begin the year knowing what you are fighting for, what you are up against and the resources you have to work with. Mars might leave on 7th January and not return until 2022 but his impact on matters of the heart is baked in from the start. After that, with the dwarf planet Eris and the asteroid Chiron, the planet of healing in your romantic sector all year things won’t go off the boil but won’t be as active as when Mars was here. This will bring a chance to let things settle until the Sun and Venus return in March. What begins with the Sun’s return on 20th March, continues with Venus, the planet of love’s return on 22nd March and Mercury’s return on 4th April will run its course with the Sun’s departure on 20th April. All the annual planetary activity on the romantic front will run for just four weeks and two days but after all that Mars has invested, this is all that will be needed to stoke the romantic flames. It is a different story on the relationship front, which is getting more attention this year. Just having the North Node in your relationship sector from May 2020 to January 2022 is keeping the focus on your relationships all year and especially when it comes to a balance between your personal and relationship needs. However Mars, who didn’t visit your relationship sector in 2020 will return from 4th March to 24th April, with his first visit since 2019 a chance to use some of his passion and warrior spirit to shake things up. Mars will be gone by the time Mercury, the planet of communication returns for what should be a 14 to 15 day visit on 14th May, ahead of the Sun’s return a week later. Instead, after Mars has been through the planet of communication’s resources might be needed, with a retrograde turn on 30th May keeping him here until 12th July.
Saturn and Jupiter’s departure from your income sector in December 2020 has taken these two powerful planets out of the game but while this has seen some of the intensity dial back, there will still be continuous planetary activity all year, enough to exploit the potential created over recent years. Apart from a few months last year, Saturn had been in your income sector since 2017 and while he is a planet that can create challenges, it is by rising to those challenges that you have had a chance to take your power back. Jupiter has been in your income sector before leaving just before Christmas and as the planet of luck and expansion, he has left behind untapped income potential that you haven’t even begun to fully access but will get a chance to in the early weeks of the year. The Sun will always spend the first three weeks of January in your income sector, so whether Saturn and Jupiter had been there or not over recent years, the year still begins with a lot of focus on income matters. Pluto, the planet of change and revolution has been in your income sector since 2008 and won’t leave until 2024 so income matters will never completely go off the boil but it is when the faster moving planets move through that things happen. That is the case in the early and later weeks of each year and is definitely the case this year. Mercury will leave your income sector on 9th January and the Sun on 20th January but it is while she is here, from 9th January to 2nd February that Venus will create some of the most potentially lucrative weeks of the year. Or at least of the early part of the year. Venus will come full circle and return to your income sector on 6th November except this time, instead of staying for just a few weeks she will remain here until March 2022. Knowing this and that Pluto will keep the engines running all year, albeit on idle at times, Venus will work during the early weeks of the year to exploit as much of Jupiter’s untapped income potential as possible while also setting her sights on an even bigger prize in the final two months of the year. Meanwhile, money matters will get their turn from Mars’ return to your financial sector on 24th April to the Sun’s departure on 22nd July. Unlike income matters, which are active all year, these are the only months when the planetary focus will be on what you do with and how you manage the money you have.
